The European Guild for Structural Integration exists as an organization that teaches Structural Integration in its original form, as developed by Dr. Ida P. Rolf.
The Guild positions itself against later modifications of Rolf's method. Where other schools adapted or simplified aspects of the work over the decades, the European Guild holds to the approach as Rolf's earliest students transmitted it. This distinguishes it from some newer training bodies that carry different emphases or shortened curricula.
Students who train there learn to work with the body's connective tissue, or fascia, so it aligns better with gravity. The method rests on Rolf's core idea: when the body's segments sit in proper relationship to each other, movement happens with less effort and better support.
